Role Responsibilities
Perform regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on heavy vehicles, construction equipment, and machinery, including cranes and trucks.
Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical faults using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Troubleshoot and resolve breakdowns to minimize equipment downtime and maximize operational efficiency.
Replace or repair faulty components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, pumps, and hydraulic systems.
Maintain accurate service records, log repairs, and update maintenance schedules.
Conduct safety checks and ensure all machinery meets regulatory and company safety requirements.
Advise operators and team members on the safe use and routine care of heavy vehicles and machinery.
Handle emergency repairs and field service assignments as required.
Order and manage spare parts and workshop inventory to support maintenance activities.
Perform other duties or support as assigned by supervisors or workshop managers.
Candidate Requirements
NITEC / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or equivalent qualification.
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in heavy vehicle or machinery maintenance; experience in a construction or industrial setting preferred.
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
Proficient in troubleshooting, repairing, and servicing heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
Detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and well-organized.
Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Willingness to undertake fieldwork and respond to emergency service calls as needed.
