Job Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimation, Bill of Quantities (BQ), and tender submissions for underground pipe installation projects (electrical & telecom).

• Responsible for purchasing materials, tools, and equipment such as ducts, pipes, cables, and fittings.

• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers/subcontractors to secure competitive pricing and quality materials.

• Monitor and track purchase orders, delivery schedules, and site requirements to avoid project delays.

• Prepare and submit progress claims, variation orders (VOs), and final accounts in coordination with project teams.

• Assist project managers in cost control, budgeting, and documentation.

• Coordinate with site teams to verify material usage, work progress, and resolve discrepancies.

• Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors on contractual and commercial matters.

• Maintain proper records of invoices, delivery orders, purchase requests, and payment follow-ups.

• Compile and submit monthly expense and cost reports for management review.

Job Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.

• At least 1 years’ experience in QS or purchasing roles, preferably in underground utilities, electrical, or telecom projects.

• Strong knowledge of cost estimation, tendering, and contract administration.

• Familiar with local suppliers and material specifications for underground works.

• Good communication and negotiation skills to deal with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients.

• Able to work independently and as part of a project team.
