Job Responsibilities
Prepare cost estimation, Bill of Quantities (BQ), and tender submissions for underground pipe installation projects (electrical & telecom).
Responsible for purchasing materials, tools, and equipment such as ducts, pipes, cables, and fittings.
Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers/subcontractors to secure competitive pricing and quality materials.
Monitor and track purchase orders, delivery schedules, and site requirements to avoid project delays.
Prepare and submit progress claims, variation orders (VOs), and final accounts in coordination with project teams.
Assist project managers in cost control, budgeting, and documentation.
Coordinate with site teams to verify material usage, work progress, and resolve discrepancies.
Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors on contractual and commercial matters.
Maintain proper records of invoices, delivery orders, purchase requests, and payment follow-ups.
Compile and submit monthly expense and cost reports for management review.
Job Requirements
Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
At least 1 years’ experience in QS or purchasing roles, preferably in underground utilities, electrical, or telecom projects.
Strong knowledge of cost estimation, tendering, and contract administration.
Familiar with local suppliers and material specifications for underground works.
Good communication and negotiation skills to deal with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients.
Able to work independently and as part of a project team.
