Position Overview



We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Lab Coordinator to support and oversee daily compounding lab operations. This role is central to ensuring smooth workflow, regulatory compliance, and a clean, safe environment for medication preparation. The ideal candidate demonstrates technical competence, humility, curiosity, and a strong sense of initiative—taking ownership of both tasks and continuous improvement opportunities.



Key Responsibilities



  • Coordinate day-to-day operations of the compounding lab, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to all safety protocols

  • Prepare compounded medications according to prescribed formulations and pharmacy standards

  • Maintain strict cleanliness and organization of all laboratory workspaces and equipment in line with USP <795>, <797>, and <800> standards

  • Monitor supply levels and coordinate restocking to prevent workflow disruptions

  • Assist in onboarding and training new lab staff or technicians as needed

  • Document compounding activities, quality checks, and cleaning logs with precision and compliance

  • Perform routine cleaning, equipment maintenance, and sterility checks

  • Proactively identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance cleanliness, or reduce errors

  • Stay current with industry best practices, compounding regulations, and pharmacy protocols

  • Foster a culture of humility, teamwork, and open communication in the lab

  • Ask thoughtful questions and pursue understanding of both procedures and their purposes


Required Qualifications


  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or relevant certification preferred

  • Prior experience in a compounding pharmacy, cleanroom, or lab setting highly desirable

  • Familiarity with compounding practices and USP guidelines is a plus

  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management

  • Strong communication skills and ability to support team collaboration

  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and manage responsibilities independently

  • A humble, curious mindset with a commitment to learning and growth

  • Dedication to cleanliness and precision in all aspects of work
