Job Description

• Support the Head of Department to develop, implement and maintain Speech-language Therapy services including peer consultation, referral delegation of clients, clinical policies and guidelines reflecting evidence-based practice and within regulatory guidelines

• Responsible for Speech-language Therapy programmes such as programme planning timelines and administration

• Collaborate with therapy teams and teaching teams to assist with the integrated therapy service model

• Attend monthly Speech-language Therapy meetings and regular multidisciplinary meetings (as required)

• Provide peer supervision, case discussion, discuss student goals and plans, communication and problem solving of Speech-language Therapy specific matters, organising/providing internal CPD

• Review evaluation results, integrate findings with other disciplines, offer recommendations, and develop individualized education plans and intervention plans to achieve specific short term and long-term goals

• Promote development of speech and language skills of students including but not limited to speech clarity, phonological skills, language comprehension and expression, social communication, and executive functions

• Ensure all therapy sessions (group/individual) are documented

• Ensure the safety standards of therapy facilities and report any issues, defects, repairs or maintenance needed

Requirements

• Qualification in Speech-language Therapy

• Registration with the Allied Health Professions Council, Singapore

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience

• Proficient Microsoft Office/Teams, Outlook, Google Classroom and ability to use digital resources and educational technology

• Prior experience in assessment and treatment of communication disorders in the paediatric population is advantageous
