Job Scope:

Tooling Engineer - Ups to $5000

• Lead and coordinate the toolmaking team to achieve departmental goals and objectives.

• Provide technical tooling support to Tool & Die (T&D) and production lines to meet quality and technical standards.

• Support tool design and sales teams in fulfilling customer requirements.

• Assist the tooling supervisor in ensuring tools are production-ready.

• Coordinate with production and planning teams to prioritize schedules based on tooling status.

• Collaborate with the Design department to improve tools for higher output and efficiency.

• Lead problem-solving efforts, identify issues, and perform root cause analysis.

• Drive and support continuous improvement initiatives in tooling and work processes.

• Work closely with the toolroom on machining requirements for tool modifications and improvement programs.

• Manage tooling resources efficiently to meet departmental needs.

• Train, guide, mentor toolmakers and act on behalf of the Principal Engineer when required.

Job Requirements:

• Experience in servicing, assembling, troubleshooting, and inspecting tools in the metal stamping industry.

• Ability to analyze and solve tooling issues using standard problem-solving techniques and SPC tools.

• Competent in operating toolroom equipment such as surface grinders, punch formers, radius dressers, milling machines, and lathes.

Tool Maker (Junior / Senior) - Ups to $3000 + shift allowances

• Tool Fabrication & Assembly: Manufacture and assemble 3D stamping tools, ensuring they meet design and dimensional requirements.

• Tool Maintenance: Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing worn or damaged tools.

• Tool Design Collaboration: Work with Design and Production teams to improve tool design for easier manufacturing and maintenance.

• Trial & Tuning: Conduct tool try-outs, adjust settings, and optimize press parameters for quality parts.

• Quality & Documentation: Verify tools against drawings and inspections, and maintain tool history and maintenance records.

• Continuous Improvement: Suggest improvements to tooling performance, process stability, and cycle time.

Job Requirements:

• Technical Certificate or Diploma in Tool & Die Making, Precision Engineering, or a related field.

• Proven experience with progressive stamping tools.

• Able to work 12-hour shifts as required (vice versa).
