Role: Partner, Governance & Movement Stewardship
Level: Senior Executive/Manager
Governance
• Partner and support co-op businesses in attaining a high level of governance through initiatives (e.g. grants, training, resources)
• Liaise with professional organizations and training institutions to drive improvements in policies, people and practices related to governance.
• Manage resources and implement the initiatives within set budget, funding mechanisms and timelines
Stewardship
• Champion and promote the values and social impact of co-operatives by designing and implementing initiatives—such as camps, seminars, and learning journeys—that inspire and empower co-ops and their members to serve as advocates of the Movement.
• Collaborate with a diverse range of partners in the social and business sectors, both locally and internationally, to develop engaging programmes and educational resources that reinforce co-operative principles and drive positive changes within the movement.
Job Requirements
• Experience supporting co-op businesses, social enterprises, and purpose-driven organizations through grant disbursements, training programmes or capacity-building initiatives
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience; fresh graduates with internships, community involvement will also be considered
• Bachelor’s degree in related fields such as Business Administration, Community Development, Public Policy, Social Policy, or Marketing or equivalent.
• Strong passion for community empowerment, with partnership building, stakeholder management, communication and project management abilities.
