Position:
We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager/ Assistant Manager to support our financial reporting team in the general ledger and financial reporting functions of the Company as well as consolidation of the Group’s financial results. This person will handle the day-to-day responsibilities of existing staff members while they are off-site or engaged in ERP-related training and testing, ensuring smooth operations during the ERP implementation and transition.
Job responsibilities:
Manage the monthly closing process, including flash reporting and commentary
Conduct variance analysis, prepare and/or review journal entries, and ensure timely resolution of financial reporting issues and exceptional items
Prepare monthly consolidation of the Group’s financial results
Liaise closely with subsidiaries’ finance teams to ensure timely and accurate submission of group financial and management reports
Analyse and provide insights on the financial performance of the Company/Group
Collaborate with various stakeholders to support finance operating requirements and resolve operational matters
Responding to ad hoc requests for financial information, provide guidance on accounting standard interpretation to other sections within finance, support divisions with financial-related tasks as needed
Support interim and year end financial statement audits and act as the primary liaison with external auditors, ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements
Undertake special assignments, ad-hoc functions and related duties as and when required
Requirements:
Degree in Accountancy or equivalent professional qualification. CA/CPA is a must.
At least 5 years of working experience, of which at least 3 years are from one of the Big 4 Audit firms. Candidates with relevant commercial finance experience (especially in group consolidation and financial reporting roles) will be preferred
Good interpersonal and communication skills, able to work with stakeholders across different divisions and subsidiaries
Excellent attention to details, hands-on, resourceful and independent.
Good analysis skills with strong knowledge of consolidation reporting
Enjoy working in a fast pace working environment
Able to manage multiple priorities and work under tight timelines
Possess strong knowledge of financial reporting standards in Singapore
Proficient in MS Office applications, knowledge of SAP is a plus
Basic understanding of sustainability principles, frameworks, and reporting standards (such as ISSB, TCFD, GRI, etc), and prior experience in sustainability reporting or related areas, are a plus
