Job Summary:
UCT is looking for a talented Sr Manager, Materials to join us in Singapore! The Materials Program Manager will work with various functions and departments to drive material flow and ensure visibility of current & future material issues. It will be the core member to supporting materials strategy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
A people manager who will manage a team
Analyze sales trends and forecast demand to optimize inventory levels
Analyze weekly inventory trend (raw/wip/fg) movement by product groups
Develop and implement inventory control procedures and policies
Monitor inventory turnover rates and identify slow-moving or excess stock for resolution
Weekly E&O reporting and mitigation
Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies
Utilize inventory management software to track stock levels, orders and returns
Collaborate closely with the purchasing team to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize stockouts
Resolve any inventory related issues or discrepancies promptly
Continuously seek to improve processes and identify opportunities for efficiency gains
Streamlined inventory management processes to reduce lead time
Involved in supply chain flexibility and lead time reduction programs
Drive implementation of VOI (Vendor Owned Inventory)
Understands all VOI parameters, calculations and data feeds to accurately generate replenishment orders
Develops reports to track all metrics and identify trends or issues that impact inventory levels
Support program tasks as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
In-depth knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong ability to analyze data and trends
Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and prioritize effectively
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Educational/Certification Requirement:
Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or Inventory Management
Work Experience Requirements:
At least 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing industry
Experience in the position of Planning, Procurement or Inventory Control.
Experience with product design engineering and commodity management or priorities for raw material or component selection.
Experience integrating the delivery schedule of materials into product program milestones.
Working knowledge of Materials Requirements Planning (preferred SAP) and Bill of Material Structure tools (preferred Agile)
Experience with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
