About the role
As a Procurement and Shipping Executive at Ten-League Group, you will play a crucial role in managing the procurement and logistics functions for our organisation.
What you'll be doing
Manage end-to-end procurement, including sourcing, tenders, and vendor negotiations.
Negotiating favourable contract terms and pricing with suppliers to ensure the best value for the business.
Placing purchase orders and tracking deliveries to maintain optimal inventory levels.
Conduct spending analysis and drive cost-saving initiatives.
Handle contract and vendor relationship management, including supplier risk monitoring.
Monitor and co-ordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and shipping lines on deliveries of cargoes.
Handling of Import and Export LC documentation
LC preparation and negotiation
Monitor and track shipments, providing updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
Prepare and process shipping documents, including commercial invoices, bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing list and certificates of origin etc.
Identify opportunities to optimize shipping processes, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.
Developing and implementing policies and procedures to streamline procurement and shipping workflows.
Investigate and resolve any shipping-related issues or discrepancies.
Maintain accurate records and reports, including shipping manifests, delivery records, and inventory levels.
Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and customer service, to ensure smooth operations.
Ensure compliance with customs regulations, laws, and company policies.
Implement procurement best practices to optimize cost and efficiency.
What we're looking for
Minimum 2-4 years of experience in a procurement or logistics role, preferably within the construction machinery industry
Strong negotiation and contract management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to liaise effectively with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, independently and as part of a team
Hands-on experience in L/C
Knowledge of customs regulations, import/export processes, and international shipping procedures (preferred).
Proficient in using procurement and inventory management software
Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and resolve issues proactively
Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
