Vascular technologists are specialized professionals who utilize ultrasound and blood pressure measurements to diagnose and assess vascular diseases. They work independently to analyze results and provide preliminary insights to physicians, playing a vital role in diagnosis, treatment planning, and patient care.

Responsibilities

Conduct vascular scans for:

• Blood flow issues (e.g., peripheral arterial disease, aneurysms, deep vein thrombosis).

• Pre/post-surgery evaluations (e.g., arterio-venous fistula, bypass).

• Specialized conditions (e.g., thoracic outlet syndrome, May-Thurner syndrome).

• Arterial blockages in the neck, limbs, and abdomen.

• Tissue viability (e.g., transcutaneous oxygen pressure studies for wound healing or amputation planning).

• Provide intra-operative vessel imaging for complex cases.

Requirements

• Degree in Biomedical Sciences, Medical Technology, Nursing, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or a related field.

• Experience in ultrasound/vascular ultrasound (not mandatory).

• Proactive, detail-oriented, adaptable, and strong in organizational skills.
