Job Summary
The Parts Manager is responsible for leading the parts department to ensure optimal inventory management, efficient procurement, and outstanding customer service. This role also drives parts sales performance through market analysis customer engagement, collaboration with internal stakeholders and effective execution of sales strategies. The Parts Manager plays a key role in supporting workshop operations and achieving commercial targets.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory & Operations Management
Manage parts inventory to ensure availability while minimizing excess and obsolete stock.
Conduct regular stock audits and ensure system accuracy.
Implement efficient processes for parts ordering, receiving, storage, and issuing.
Sales & Business Development
Develop and execute sales strategies to grow parts revenue (Both ICE and EV)
Identify new business opportunities and customer segments.
Monitor competitor pricing and market trends to stay competitive.
Customer Service & Support
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through accurate parts identification and timely delivery.
Resolve customer complaints and inquiries professionally.
Build strong relationships with workshop teams and fleet customers.
Team Leadership
Lead, train, and motivate the parts team to achieve performance targets.
Set clear KPIs and conduct regular performance reviews.
Foster a culture of accountability, service excellence, and continuous improvement.
Reporting & Compliance
Prepare regular reports on inventory, sales performance, and operational efficiency.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Support budgeting and forecasting activities related to parts operations.
Qualifications & Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Automotive, Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in parts management, preferably in the heavy commercial vehicle (Truck and Bus) industry.
Experience and know the operation of Public Bus Operators
Proven track record in sales and inventory optimization.
Strong leadership, analytical, and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
