Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to lead the design and validation of power distribution systems for Tier III data centers and AI server environments. This role involves working with high-power DC systems, ensuring compliance with global standards, and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust and reliable power infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop DC power distribution systems, including circuit breakers, switch boxes, and protective devices tailored for data center applications.
Perform hardware testing of power supplies and converters used in AI server racks, ensuring optimal performance under high-load conditions.
Conduct high-power testing using AC/DC sources ranging from kilowatts to megawatts, simulating real-world data center loads.
Execute reliability and immunity tests such as:
Power Surge
Voltage dips and fluctuations
EMC, EMI, and Hi-Pot
Carry out design verification and performance evaluations, including:
Startup behavior
Transient response
Step response and dynamic analysis
Gain and phase measurements
Generate detailed technical reports summarizing test results, design evaluations, and compliance findings.
Maintain and update test protocols in alignment with the latest IEC, EN, UL, and IPC standards.
Ensure designs meet TIA-942 and Tier III data center requirements.
Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and firmware engineers to integrate power systems into broader infrastructure solutions.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Degree or Diploma in Electrical & Electronic Engineering.
Minimum 5 years of experience in power distribution design, preferably in data center or industrial environments.
Strong knowledge of TIA-942 standards and Tier III data center architecture.
Familiarity with IEC/EN/IPC compliance and testing procedures.
Hands-on experience with power protection systems (circuit breakers, relays, ground fault protection).
Proficient in using high-power test equipment and diagnostic tools.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced engineering environment.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with AI server infrastructure and modular data center design.
Understanding of thermal management and power redundancy strategies.
Knowledge of energy efficiency standards and sustainability practices in data centers.
