Role Overview:
As a Storekeeper / Warehouse Assistant, you will be responsible for the proper handling, storage, issuance, and inventory of renovation materials. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will ensure smooth material flow that supports timely project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive and inspect incoming materials to ensure quantity and quality match purchase orders.
Ensure proper labelling and storage of materials with bilingual (English & Chinese) material tags.
Organize inventory according to FIFO (First-In-First-Out) and category-specific zoning.
Issue materials based on internal requisitions and update inventory records accurately.
Monitor and report low stock levels; coordinate replenishment with purchasing team.
Assist with handling and safekeeping of green-certified or fire-rated materials per BCA compliance.
Maintain cleanliness and safety of warehouse area; conduct daily checks for fire, theft, and moisture risks.
Support warehouse documentation including delivery orders, material certificates, and stock records.
Collaborate with project team to prepare materials in advance based on project schedule.
Participate in monthly stock counts and variance reporting.
Key Requirements:
Minimum N/O Level or equivalent; warehouse/logistics certification is a plus.
1–2 years of experience in warehouse/storekeeping roles, preferably in construction or renovation.
Familiar with inventory systems (e.g. Excel, ERP/SAP); basic CAD reading skills is a bonus.
Attention to detail and ability to identify material mismatches or quality issues.
Physically fit and able to handle manual material movement.
Bilingual in English and Mandarin (to read labels, handle documentation, and liaise with Chinese-speaking teams).
Team player with good time management and organizational skills.
Willing to work overtime or weekends when needed for project timelines.
