Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled accountant to handle daily financial records, report preparation, tax filings, and other financial-related tasks. This position requires strong numerical proficiency, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with other team members to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the company’s financial data while complying with all regulatory requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. General Accounting Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and supporting documents. Prepare journal entries and assist in account reconciliations. Support month-end closing activities in coordination with the external accounting firm. Draft internal financial statements for management review.
2. Accounts Payable and Receivable Process and monitor client invoices, collections, and vendor payments. Maintain aging reports for accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances. Ensure proper documentation and internal approval flows for disbursements.
3. Tax Compliance and Reporting Prepare necessary documentation and reports for submission to the external accounting firm. Coordinate with the accounting firm for monthly tax filings and compliance requirements. Assist during internal and external audits by providing required records and data.
4. Support Operational Efficiency Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless financial operations. Identify opportunities for process improvement in financial workflows.
Required Qualifications Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience: At least 2 years of experience as Accounting Staff within the retail industry.
Skills: Proficiency in accounting software, strong analytical skills, and attention to detail.
Salary Range SGD 3,000-3,500
