Job Description
This role is responsible to ensure Sembcorp Development Ltd, and their subsidiaries and JVs' operations meet and align with Sembcorp Group’s HSSE policy and standards through implementation of HSSE management system, programs, audits, and provide advisory support.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be part of the HSSE department to support Business CEO in assuring HSSE performance, including compliance to regulations and Sembcorp Group HSSE policies and standards through effective management system and robust surveillance programs. The responsibilities include but not limited to:
Promulgate Sembcorp Group’s HSSE policy and standards.
Implement and maintain HSSE Management System, procedures, and guidelines.
Develop and execute HSSE program and trainings.
Advise Management on all HSSE related matters.
Conduct HSSE compliance checks and audit programs at subsidiaries and JVs’ project/ property sites (located in Vietnam, China, and Indonesia).
Provide coaching and guidance to the operation teams and HSSE representatives on the implementation of HSSE initiatives.
Review procedures and standards of subsidiaries and JVs and align with Sembcorp Group’s standards.
Stay updated on the relevant HSSE laws, regulations, and policies.
Collate and analyze HSSE performance and trends and provide regular reporting.
Support investigation of incidents/ accidents.
Ensure alignment to Sembcorp Group’s Business Continuity Management Policy and Crisis Management framework.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Degree in Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent.
Registered WSH Officer with MOM.
Possess experience in HSSE audits.
Minimum 6 years of experience in building construction projects.
Regional HSSE experiences will be preferred.
Familiar with Vietnam operations will be advantageous.
Possess good organizational and interpersonal skills.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Creative thinker in identifying innovative approaches to solve problem.
Traveling overseas is required.
