Our Unmanned & Integrated Systems business offers holistic solutions in system engineering and integration. We pioneer maritime robotics and autonomy solutions, provide system integration for complex naval and island air defence System-of-Systems (SoS), and take care of the operation and maintenance of Command, Control, Communications, Computers Intelligence (C4I) systems. As a System Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex systems that integrate hardware, software, and networks to meet project needs. This role involves gathering requirements, creating scalable system architectures, and ensuring seamless integration of various system components. Additionally, the system engineer monitors system performance, troubleshoots issues, manages security protocols, and performs regular system updates and upgrades. They work closely with project teams to ensure smooth operations and provide technical support, while also focusing on continuous improvement and process optimization. The role requires a strong understanding of system design, security, automation, and troubleshooting, with an emphasis on ensuring reliability and efficiency in all aspects of system management.

  • Collaborate closely with users to gather, analyse, and define detailed system requirements.

  • Liaise with suppliers and technology partners to design and deliver integrated, end-to-end infrastructure solutions.

  • Participate in the planning, design, and implementation of infrastructure projects, including servers, network systems, and physical security components.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to servers, security systems, and network equipment to ensure minimal disruption to operations.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system configurations, design specifications, and support procedures.

  • Work alongside project managers to ensure timely delivery of system milestones and adherence to project timelines.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by participating in project reviews and post-mortem analyses to identify lessons learned and best practices.

 

Qualities We Value

  • Knowledge in Computer Science / Information Technology / Electrical Engineering or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years’ relevant work experience in a systems or infrastructure-related role.

  • Good understanding of system infrastructure technologies and platforms such as VxRail, VMware, Active Directory, firewalls (e.g., Fortinet, Checkpoint), and networking equipment (e.g., Cisco, Alcatel-Lucent).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.

  • Eagerness to learn, with a proactive and adaptable mindset; capable of taking on additional roles and responsibilities as needed.

  • Beneficial but not mandatory:

  • Experience in Cyber Security work including:

  • Privileged Access Management (PAM)

  • Hardware Security Modules (HSM)

  • WSUS/RHEL Patch Management

  • Centralized Logging Systems (e.g., SIEM)

  • Familiarity with Oracle Database administration and support

  • Open to contract, renewal

  • Singaporean only
