Assistant Buyer/Buyer - #1100818

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Source and develop potential suppliers to support project demand.

• Processing the purchase requisition raised by various departments with the release of purchase order.

• Prepare, update and monitor delivery and purchasing schedule.

• Responsible for direct purchasing activities of standard electro-mechanical/OEM parts to support the various businesses within the Group

• Spearhead vendor quality improvement and cost reduction programs

• Involved in global sourcing to develop critical vendor base

MAIN JOB SPECIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum Diploma in Engineering or ITE holders with relevant purchasing experience

• Relevant purchasing / procurement background with an appreciation of product/process costing in a manufacturing environment

• Possess good negotiation and interpersonal skills

• Some exposure in SCM and MRP systems
