The Safety Coordinator shall be in charge of managing the safety inspections, audits, and safety reports for the project with a strong focus on workplace safety, resourcefulness and problem-solving skills.
Job description:
Develop and Implement Safety Programs.
Perform regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify hazards and potential safety issues.
Recommend solutions or improvements based on risk findings.
Conduct hazard analysis for new projects, equipment, or processes.
Conduct Training, Education & Briefing including Safety Toolbox meetings.
Stay updated on safety regulations to ensure compliance to relevant regulatory guidelines and compliant to the Contract work scope.
Investigate Accidents and Incidents, prepare & lodge Workplace Incident Reports to MOM, and implement corrective actions.
Conduct regular safety inspections of the workplace, tools, equipment, and workspaces.
Foster a Safety culture in the workplace to enhance employee awareness and work safety.
Monitor and maintain safety procedures and safety records, including inspection reports, accident logs, and employee safety training certifications and training sessions.
Ensure all safety documentation is up to date and readily accessible for audits or inspections.
Inspect and ensure site personnels' Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are within validity and in safe, functional condition.
Liaise with client/main contractor/subcon on all site safety matters.
Assist the Project Manager in all aspect of project safety and attend site meetings.
Report Safety Data & Reports to Management.
Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements:
At least 2 years of relevant experience in Construction industry.
Must have at least one of the prescribed Workplace Safety and Health related qualification (eg. WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health).
Must have valid BCSS / Supervise Construction Work for WSH / WSH Management in Construction Industry certificate.
Must have valid BizSafe Level 2 certification.
Must have valid Work at Height for Supervisor/Assessor certificate.
Proficient in MS Office applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
Good working knowledge of statutory requirements related to WSH Act and other aspect of safety.
Good English communication skills and report writing skills.
Both a team player and the ability to work independently.
Highly motivated individuals with the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Candidates must be willing to travel within Singapore.
