The Division of Research and Innovation (DRI) comprises the National Medical Research Council (NMRC) Office. The Office supports NMRC and the Ministry of Health through the following activities.
Oversees the planning, development, and advancement of biomedical research in Singapore.
Engages in research strategy and planning.
Provides funding to support competitive research grants, national programmes, and core research enablers / infrastructures.
Responsible for the development of clinician – scientists through awards and fellowships.
Fosters interaction and knowledge exchange among researchers.

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
You will provide grants administration support under the National Medical Research Council (NMRC) Office which provides funding to the public healthcare clusters and institutions to build core research capabilities to meet the Research, Innovation and Enterprise (RIE) goals for the human health and potential (HHP) domain. You will also support the organisation of meetings and events and production of corporate collaterals such as e-newsletters and annual reports, where necessary.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide administrative support for NMRC-funded research grants and talent development schemes, such as the Clinician Scientist Award, Clinician Scientist/Open Fund Individual Research Grants, and other initiatives.
Assist in the end-to-end research grant administration from application processing, evaluation coordination, award disbursement, and post-award monitoring.
Liaise with stakeholders including grant applicants and awardees, research offices of public institutions on grant-related matters.
Support the coordination and logistics of meetings, such as grant review panels, workshops, and other events.
Contribute to the development of corporate communication materials, including e-newsletters, infographics, and annual reports.
Participate in cross-functional projects and committees as assigned.
Prior experience with Excel macros and/or RPA tool such as UiPath would be advantageous.
Education Requirement(s):
Education in Biomedical Sciences or relevant disciplines preferred.
Key Qualities:
Strong administrative and analytical abilities.
Good writing, interpersonal and communication skills.
Good time management skills.
Responsible and independent, with the ability to work in a team.
Knowledge of the local biomedical landscape would be an advantage.
Keen interest in healthcare research, innovation and translation.
Years of Experience Required:
At least 1 year of experience in research grants administration would be an advantage.
Fresh graduates are welcome.
