We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Finance Manager to join our client.
Our client is an established player in the energy and sustainability sector.
Ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management. Experience in Big 4 auditing firms is preferred as it provides the technical expertise and robust understanding of financial controls, processes, and reporting necessary for this role.
The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, managing budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and provide accurate financial forecasts, while maintaining strong alignment with business goals and strategic initiatives.
Financial Analysis: Provide insightful financial analysis and reports to senior management, helping drive business decisions, and identifying opportunities for cost optimization and profitability improvements.
Audit and Compliance: Manage external audits and internal controls, ensuring all financial processes are compliant with regulatory standards, with a particular focus on energy sector regulations.
Cash Flow Management: Oversee the management of cash flow, liquidity, and working capital, ensuring efficient capital deployment and risk management.
Financial Strategy: Partner with senior leadership to define and execute financial strategies that support the company's growth and sustainability objectives.
Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and develop junior finance staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
Technology Integration: Work closely with the IT department to ensure financial systems are optimized and aligned with the company's evolving needs in the smart energy sector.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (CPA, CFA, or similar certifications are a plus).
Big 4 audit experience is essential – candidates with a background in auditing, financial reporting, and controls from a Big 4 firm (e.g., Deloitte, EY, KPMG, PwC) will be highly preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance or accounting, ideally in the energy or sustainability sectors.
Strong understanding of financial reporting, accounting principles (IFRS, GAAP), and audit processes.
Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and work collaboratively with senior leadership.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
High attention to detail, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
Knowledge of the energy sector, particularly in smart energy, renewables, or utilities, is a plus
