Responsibilities

• Translate customer requirements into clear mechanical design specifications.

• Generate and validate design concepts using force, thermal, and vibration simulations.

• Select cost-effective and reliable design solutions with good manufacturability.

• Choose suitable materials to ensure durability and compatibility with semiconductor processes.

• Design precision tooling and fixtures for advanced packaging applications.

• Create 3D models and conduct structural analysis to ensure design strength.

• Work closely with manufacturing and process engineers to support Design for Manufacturability (DFM).

• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts to enhance design performance and efficiency.

• Ensure designs comply with safety, quality, and environmental regulations in Singapore.

Requirements

• Degree or Master in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from a recognized institution.

• Experience in mechanical design; background in the semiconductor industry is an advantage.

• Proficient in design software such as Solid Edge, SolidWorks, Pro-E, and AutoCAD.

• Familiarity with advanced packaging technologies (e.g., wafer-level packaging, 2.5D/3D integration, flip-chip assembly) is a plus.

• Knowledge of thermal management, vibration control, and high-precision motion systems is beneficial.
