Key Responsibilities:
1. Production Planning & Scheduling
Work closely with the Production Manager, Sales Team, and Customer Service to plan and schedule production activities.
Develop monthly, weekly, and daily production plans based on demand history, sales forecasts, and operational capacity.
Balance the following key planning considerations:
Length of production run – Ensure sufficient run to meet target efficiency.
Finished goods inventory – Maintain optimal levels to prevent stockouts.
Product shelf life – Ensure adequate shelf life upon delivery to customers.
Sanitation cost – Minimize sanitation overhead by optimizing production volume.
Input daily production schedules into SAP and generate customized schedules for production lines, warehouse picking, and goods receipt processes.
2. Raw Material Forecasting & Coordination
Alert the Purchasing team on any changes to raw material volume requirements.
Develop raw material forecasts based on finished goods history, BOM data, and production yields.
Proactively identify potential raw material supply issues and collaborate with stakeholders on solutions through:
Approved material substitution,
Expedited purchasing,
Local sourcing where applicable.
3. Packaging Material Inventory Control
Manage packaging material inventory to support production continuity.
Work closely with the Purchasing team to provide timely updates on usage and requirements.
Forecast packaging material needs based on demand history and SAP master data.
Maintain inventory accuracy and control, including periodic checks.
Flag any discrepancies in SAP master data and provide feedback to the SAP team to maintain data integrity.
Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Manufacturing, or a related field.
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in production planning, preferably within the food manufacturing or FMCG industry.
Strong proficiency in SAP or equivalent ERP systems.
Solid understanding of demand forecasting, inventory control, and production scheduling.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, etc.).
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate across departments.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
