Key Responsibilities:
1. Product Planning & Assortment Strategy
- Collaborate with buyers and suppliers to select products that align with company goals.
- Ensure optimal product mix (colors, sizes, styles) based on sales performance.
2. Inventory & Stock Management
- Monitor stock levels to prevent overstocking or stockouts.
- Work with supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery of merchandise.
- Forecast demand and plan replenishment orders.
3. Pricing & Promotions
- Set competitive pricing strategies based on market analysis.
- Coordinate with marketing on promotions, discounts, and clearance sales.
- Track competitor pricing and adjust strategies accordingly.
4. Supplier & Vendor Management
- Negotiate with suppliers for better pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
- Build strong relationships with vendors to ensure quality and reliability.
- Resolve supply chain issues (delays, defects, shortages).
5. Sales & Performance Analysis
- Recommend markdowns or discontinuations for underperforming products.
Requirements:
-Education: Diploma/Degree in Business, Retail Management, Fashion Merchandising, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Experience: 2-3 years in merchandising, buying, or retail operations (preferably in Singapore).
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with retail/FMCG/e-commerce trends.
Skills:
- Strong analytical & negotiation skills.
- Good understanding of supply chain and procurement processes.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication & teamwork skills.
