Job Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and timely, and addressing payroll-related inquiries. This role is critical in supporting smooth payroll operations across stores, warehouses, and corporate offices, often handling a large and diverse workforce with various types of compensation structure.
This role is based in Tampines.
Key Responsibilities
Process payroll for all employees, including full-time, part-time, and festive staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established schedules.
Maintain and update employee payroll data, including earnings, deductions, benefits, and job titles.
Ensure accurate calculation of variable pay components such as incentives, bonuses, and overtime.
Respond promptly to employee queries and resolve discrepancies related to pay, taxes, deductions, and leave balances etc.
Prepare and review regular payroll reports for management, summarizing earnings, taxes, deductions, and other payroll-related statistics.
Ensure payroll processes comply with local legal requirements.
Coordinate with HR and finance teams to reflect accurate employee information and benefits enrollment.
Stay updated on changes in payroll legislation and adjust processes & systems accordingly.
Support audits and internal reviews by maintaining accurate and up-to-date payroll records.
Assist in annual compensation review cycles and the implementation of new payroll systems or enhancements.
Qualifications
Diploma in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field
Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in HR operations and payroll
Good attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Proficient in payroll systems and Microsoft Excel
Good understanding of local payroll regulations and tax compliance requirements
Excellent communication skills for responding to employee inquiries and collaborating with cross-functional teams
Able to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
Experience in managing payroll in a high-volume retail environment is preferred
