Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and timely, and addressing payroll-related inquiries. This role is critical in supporting smooth payroll operations across stores, warehouses, and corporate offices, often handling a large and diverse workforce with various types of compensation structure.

This role is based in Tampines.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Process payroll for all employees, including full-time, part-time, and festive staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established schedules.

  • Maintain and update employee payroll data, including earnings, deductions, benefits, and job titles.

  • Ensure accurate calculation of variable pay components such as incentives, bonuses, and overtime.

  • Respond promptly to employee queries and resolve discrepancies related to pay, taxes, deductions, and leave balances etc.

  • Prepare and review regular payroll reports for management, summarizing earnings, taxes, deductions, and other payroll-related statistics.

  • Ensure payroll processes comply with local legal requirements.

  • Coordinate with HR and finance teams to reflect accurate employee information and benefits enrollment.

  • Stay updated on changes in payroll legislation and adjust processes & systems accordingly.

  • Support audits and internal reviews by maintaining accurate and up-to-date payroll records.

  • Assist in annual compensation review cycles and the implementation of new payroll systems or enhancements.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field

  • Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in HR operations and payroll

  • Good attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

  • Proficient in payroll systems and Microsoft Excel

  • Good understanding of local payroll regulations and tax compliance requirements

  • Excellent communication skills for responding to employee inquiries and collaborating with cross-functional teams

  • Able to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism

  • Experience in managing payroll in a high-volume retail environment is preferred
