Lead Consultant – Wifi Engineering | Yearly renewable contract | Up to 6.5k - #1096436

The WiFi Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring that the centralized WiFi platform is robust, secure, and scalable, supporting the seamless delivery of Managed WiFi Services for enterprise customers. This role involves the engineering, optimization, and support of multi-tenant wireless infrastructure to meet stringent performance, security, and service reliability standards

• Maintain and enhance the centralized WiFi management platform

• Ensure platform scalability, resilience, and security for multi-customer environments.

• Automate provisioning and configuration workflows where possible.

• Implement enterprise-grade WiFi security and ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory standards

• Monitor system health and proactively address performance degradation including support root cause analysis and continuous service improvement.

• Serve as Tier 3 escalation for complex wireless issues.

• Collaborate with delivery and operations teams to support onboarding, cutover, and lifecycle management.

• Provide and update technical documentation, post-deployment reports, and platform insights to internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Stay updated with emerging WiFi standards (Wi-Fi 6/6E/7) and industry trends to evaluate and propose new tools, frameworks, and best practices to enhance the Managed WiFi offering.

• Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science

• 5+ years of relevant experience in WiFi engineering, preferably in a managed services or enterprise IT environment.

• Strong understanding of wireless networking standards, RF theory, and LAN/WAN integration.

• Experience with enterprise or cloud-based WiFi platforms (Meraki, Aruba, Ruckus, Cisco).

• Technical Expertise in Wireless Networking

• Knowledge of authentication systems and network security protocols.

• Industry certifications preferred (e.g., CWNA, CWNP, Cisco Wireless, Aruba ACMA).

• Experience with provisioning tools, scripting, or automation is a plus.
