About the Role

As a Media and Communications Manager, you will be a key contributor to the corporate communications team, responsible for shaping and driving strategic storytelling. Your work will enhance the organization’s reputation, increase public awareness, and build trust by effectively communicating key policies and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies and media plans across multiple channels, including mainstream, online, and social media.

• Craft clear, concise, and impactful messages and media materials, simplifying complex information for broad audiences.

• Pitch stories, secure interviews, manage media inquiries, and build strong relationships with journalists and editors.

• Monitor media coverage, analyze performance metrics, and provide insightful reports to senior management.

• Lead crisis communications and issue management with professionalism and agility.

• Organize media events, coordinate emergency communications training, manage vendors, and oversee budgetary aspects as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications, Journalism, or related field.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in media communications, with crisis management experience being a plus.

• In-depth knowledge of the media landscape, trends, and strong media relations/networking skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Self-driven with the ability to measure and evaluate communication effectiveness.

• Strong interpersonal skills; able to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.

• Proven ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and remain adaptable.

• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
