We are seeking an experienced Planning Manager to lead the planning efforts for a large-scale project. This large-scale, high-profile project will require a skilled and strategic planner to ensure successful delivery on time, within budget, and in alignment with quality and safety standards. As the Planning Manager, you will oversee the development, implementation, and monitoring of project schedules and resources, ensuring the effective coordination of all teams and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage detailed project schedules using industry-standard software (e.g., Primavera P6).
Lead the overall project schedule management for large-scale projects (> $3 billion), ensuring milestones and deliverables are defined and met.
Work with project teams to track progress, address delays, and ensure resource allocation (labor, equipment, materials) is optimal.
Monitor project budgets, implement cost-saving measures, and identify critical paths to ensure timely project completion.
Prepare and deliver regular progress reports, highlighting any variances in schedule, budget, or scope.
Collaborate with design, engineering, construction, and procurement teams to align all aspects of the project.
Proactively identify and mitigate risks (e.g., supply chain issues, design changes, site conditions) to avoid schedule disruptions.
Maintain accurate planning documentation, including schedules, reports, meeting minutes, and correspondence.
Provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication across teams and external partners.
Assist in resolving issues, ensuring project milestones are met and risks are mitigated effectively.
Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
Minimum 8 years of experience in project planning or scheduling within the construction or engineering sector, preferably with experience in the semiconductor industry.
Hands-on experience in managing design and build projects, especially for large-scale industrial plants.
Familiarity with semiconductor plant infrastructure, utilities, cleanroom construction, and specialized systems is a plus
Proactive, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Adaptable to a dynamic and fast-paced working environment
Proficiency in planning tools such as Primavera P6 is a must
Strong understanding of construction planning, resource management, and risk management in high-value projects.
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) for presenting complex schedules and project updates to senior management, clients, and external stakeholders.
Fluency in both Mandarin and English is required to communicate with stakeholders, especially Chinese-speaking teams, and present updates to senior management and client
Singaporean or Permanent Resident.
