Job Summary

Join a dynamic international trading team supporting sugar trading activities, market development, trade execution, and operational coordination across global markets.

Responsibilities

• Conduct sugar market research and support the development of new destination markets and customer accounts under the guidance of senior traders.
• Coordinate the execution of physical purchase and sales contracts, including monitoring contract performance and payment schedules.
• Place pricing orders and assist in managing sugar futures trading positions.
• Liaise with freight and logistics teams to monitor vessel schedules, shipment progress, and delivery timelines.
• Monitor and reconcile daily mark-to-market (MTM) profit and loss reports, ensuring contract statuses are accurately maintained.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 to 7 years of experience in international trading; experience in commodities trading or freight-related industries is an added advantage.
• Practical knowledge of international trade operations, including contract execution, trade logistics, and basic trading terminology.
• Proficiency in English and Chinese (written and spoken) for liaising with English-speaking and Chinese-speaking clients and stakeholders.
• Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and responsibility in managing daily operations and tasks.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Good organisational, coordination, and communication skills.
