Business Development Executive - #1171338

Our client is seeking a Business Development Executive to identify and develop new business opportunities and drive project-based sales for the company and its related group entities. The successful candidate will manage the sales process from initial enquiry through proposal preparation, tender submission, negotiation and project handover, while building and maintaining long-term customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, tender portals and direct customer engagement.
• Promote the Group’s products, engineering solutions, workshop services and equipment to meet customer requirements and achieve sales targets.
• Prepare proposals, quotations, presentations and tender submissions, coordinating technical specifications, costing, pricing and delivery schedules with relevant teams.
• Manage the tender process, including reviewing requirements, attending briefings and site visits, coordinating supporting documents and ensuring accurate, timely submissions.
• Followup on proposals, negotiate commercial terms within approved limits and coordinate contracts, purchase orders and agreements, highlighting risks or discrepancies to Management.
• Coordinate project handovers to internal teams, ensuring clear communication of scope, pricing, customer requirements and delivery commitments.
• Maintain customer relationships throughout project delivery and follow up on variations, renewals, customer approvals and invoicing documentation.
• Maintain accurate sales and tender records, report on pipeline progress and forecasts, and liaise with Finance on payment matters when required.

• Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years' relevant experience in business development, project sales, tender management or proposal preparation preferred.
• Experience in engineering, automotive, commercial vehicles, workshop services, construction, equipment or industrial sectors is an advantage.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare professional proposals and tender documents.
• Strong negotiation, coordination and follow-up skills, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and deadlines.
• Commercially minded, customer-focused and able to work independently towards sales targets.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Able to attend customer meetings and project site visits. Possession of a valid driving licence would be an advantage.
