Senior M&E Manager - #1171274

We are seeking an experienced Senior M&E Manager to lead and manage the mechanical and electrical (M&E) works for a major hospital development project in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall coordination, planning, execution, quality, safety and timely completion of M&E works, ensuring compliance with project specifications, statutory requirements and applicable Singapore standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all M&E works throughout the project lifecycle from construction to testing, commissioning and handover.
• Oversee the planning, coordination and execution of mechanical, electrical and other building services works.
• Coordinate closely with the Project Director, Construction Managers, Structural/Architectural teams, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Review M&E drawings, specifications, shop drawings, method statements and technical submissions.
• Coordinate M&E services with structural, architectural and other disciplines to resolve design and site interface issues.
• Monitor M&E work progress against the approved project programme and ensure timely completion of critical activities.
• Manage M&E subcontractors and specialist contractors, including manpower, materials, equipment and work sequencing.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor installation quality, workmanship and compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Ensure M&E works comply with relevant Singapore codes, statutory requirements, project specifications and authority requirements.
• Oversee inspection, testing, commissioning and integrated systems testing of M&E systems.
• Coordinate with relevant authorities, consultants and stakeholders for inspections, testing, approvals and handover requirements.
• Monitor and resolve technical issues, design changes, RFIs, site instructions and coordination matters.
• Review progress claims, variation works and relevant M&E commercial matters in coordination with the commercial/project team.
• Identify potential delays, technical risks and interface issues and implement appropriate mitigation and recovery measures.
• Ensure proper documentation of M&E works, testing records, as-built drawings, O&M manuals and handover documents.
• Promote and enforce high standards of workplace safety, quality control and environmental requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to M&E engineers and site teams.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant M&E experience in major building or construction projects.
• Prior experience in hospital or healthcare projects is required.
• Strong experience in managing multidisciplinary M&E works for large-scale building projects.
• Good knowledge of mechanical, electrical, ACMV, plumbing & sanitary, fire protection and other building services systems.
• Experience in M&E coordination, installation, testing, commissioning and integrated systems testing.
• Good knowledge of relevant Singapore codes, statutory requirements and authority submission processes.
• Strong experience in managing M&E subcontractors, consultants, suppliers and specialist contractors.
• Ability to read and interpret M&E drawings, specifications, technical submissions and construction documents.
• Good understanding of construction planning, programme management, quality control and safety requirements.
• Strong leadership, communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD and relevant M&E/project management software will be an advantage.

Relevant professionalqualifications or Singapore registration/accreditation will be an advantage.
