Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive Product Development & Production Specialist to manage our seasonal collection lifecycle, factory allocations, purchase order workflows, and end-to-end shipment logistics for all production assets. This role focuses heavily on cross-functional project management: translating design concepts into external production, allocating orders to the right vendor partners, tracking timelines, issuing POs, and handling all shipping across apparel and accessories and managing restocks, and packaging.
Key Responsibilities
1. Factory Allocation & Vendor Management
· Evaluate seasonal collection designs (clothing and accessories) and strategically allocate styles to the appropriate manufacturing partners based on factory strengths, capacity, pricing, and minimum order quantities (MOQs).
· Act as the primary liaison between internal Fashion Designers and external factories to ensure design intent and aesthetic details are correctly executed.
· Maintain vendor relationships and communicate daily updates regarding product development, sampling progress, and production schedules.
2. Purchase Order (PO) Management
· Issue, track, and manage official Purchase Orders (POs) for all seasonal clothing, accessories, carry over restocks, and branded packaging materials.
· Negotiate garment, accessory, and packaging FOB prices to meet company margin targets.
· Reconcile factory invoices againstPO terms and verify final quantity deliveries.
3. Shipment & Logistics Management
· Manage all shipment inquiries and logistics for incoming sample submissions (proto, fit, and pre-production samples) to ensure timely designer review.
· Oversee freight coordination, tracking, and customs clearance inquiries for bulk production orders and packaging to guarantee on-time warehouse delivery.
4. Development Tracking & Sample Approvals
· Manage the seasonal Time & Action (T&A) calendar to keep external sample development and production schedules on track.
· Coordinate sample requests with factories and facilitate designer review and feedback sessions.
· Oversee restock planning andreorders for core products to maintain healthy inventory levels.
5. Packaging & Accessories Coordination
· Source and manage external vendors for branded packaging or any others packaging list.
· Ensure all packaging and such ancillary orders align with main garment production timelines for synchronized delivery.
Qualifications &Requirements
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
· Experience: 3+ years of experience in fashion product development, production coordination, or logistics, specifically working with full-package outsourced suppliers.
· KeySkills:
· Proficient in Purchase Order (PO) generation and MS Excel for production and shipment tracking.
· Practical knowledge of import/export logistics, courier management, and defect claim processes.
· Deep understanding of factory sourcing, vendor allocation strategies, and margin calculations.
· Strong project management abilities with a proven record of managing multiple production timelines simultaneously.
· Excellent negotiation and communication skills for daily vendor management.
