Facilities Manager (East location , mission-critical building) - #1170539

Role Summary

Lead the facilities management team for a large, mission-critical building, acting as the client's primary point of contact and owning service quality, budget and the performance of the M&E and building systems end to end.

Responsibilities

• You will manage and develop a team of engineers, technical officers, supervisors and technicians running day-to-day operations and maintenance, building strong client relationships and holding the site to clear service standards.
• You will own the annual budget, project costing and cost control, and prepare the daily, weekly and monthly reports, audit reports and contractor assessments submitted to the client.
• On the technical side, you will coordinate with owners, consultants and contractors on engineering requirements, prepare tender documents and specifications, plan and execute rectification and improvement works, and certify contractor payments.
• Regular inspections of all systems, strict adherence to maintenance programmes and safety procedures, and staff training to keep the team competent in repair and maintenance work round out the role.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• With at least 7 years of facilities management experience of which a minimum of 5 years is at managerial level, ideally in a large facility (leading 30 headcounts upwards)
• Strong hands-on building and M&E knowledge is essential, along with proven leadership, planning and organising ability, a service-oriented mindset, and the initiative and integrity to work independently under pressure while communicating confidently with clients and contractors.
