Working Hours: 5:00pm – 9:30pm (occasionally until 10:00pm)
Start Date: October 2026
Commitment: Minimum 3 shifts per week, including weekends where required
About My Happy Tales
My Happy Tales is Singapore's first AVS-licensed 24-hour small animal pet hotel, specialising in boarding, recovery care, and senior support for rabbits and small animals.
We're looking for someone who genuinely loves animals, enjoys working in a clean and organised environment, and wants to be part of a team dedicated to providing exceptional care.
This role is ideal for someone who is reliable, hardworking, and eager to learn. While the role is primarily focused on maintaining cleanliness and hygiene, you'll also gain valuable hands-on experience in rabbit care and recovery support.
There is potential for long-term career growth and eventual full-time employment for the right candidate.
Key ResponsibilitiesCleaning & Housekeeping (Primary Responsibility)
Maintaining excellent hygiene is one of the most important parts of caring for rabbits.
Your responsibilities include:
- Cleaning rabbit suites, litter boxes, food bowls, play areas and common areas
- Maintaining a clean, safe and comfortable environment
- Following hygiene and biosecurity protocols, especially for recovery and higher-care animals
- Laundry, disinfecting equipment and general housekeeping duties
Animal Care Support
- Assist with feeding rabbits and small animals
- Help with basic handling and daily care
- Observe and report changes in appetite, droppings or behaviour
- Ensure animals remain comfortable and stress-free
Recovery Care Support
Under guidance from senior caregivers, you will gradually learn to:
- Assist with routine recovery care
- Support rabbits recovering from illness or surgery
- Monitor animals and report any concerns promptly
Customer Service
- Welcome customers during check-ins and check-outs
- Provide friendly and professional customer service
- Assist with basic customer enquiries and WhatsApp updates when required
- Represent My Happy Tales with warmth, professionalism and care
We're looking for someone who is:
- Passionate about rabbits and small animals
- Comfortable with cleaning, sanitation and physical work
- Detail-oriented and able to follow established care and hygiene protocols
- Responsible, punctual and dependable
- Friendly, approachable and a team player
- Confident in communicating with customers and providing good customer service
- Able to commit to at least 3 evening shifts per week, including weekends when required
- Interested in growing with the company over the long term
Previous animal care experience is a bonus but not required. Training will be provided to suitable candidates.
What You'll LearnSuitable candidates will receive hands-on training in:
- Rabbit husbandry and daily care
- Safe rabbit handling techniques
- Grooming (nail trimming, brushing and hygiene care)
- Recovery care and monitoring
- Working alongside experienced caregivers in a specialised recovery boarding environment
- Comprehensive on-the-job training
- Hands-on experience with rabbits and small animals
- Mentorship from experienced caregivers with veterinary nursing backgrounds
- Exposure to specialised recovery and senior care
- Friendly and supportive work environment

Shortlisted applicants will be invited for a 4-hour trial session from 8:30am to 12:30pm on a selected date.
Please arrive punctually in comfortable clothing suitable for cleaning duties and animal handling.
