About the role

Jacob's Cafe is seeking a Service Crew to join our welcoming team in the Changi East Region. This is a full-time position where you will be at the heart of our hospitality operations, delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring every guest enjoys a memorable dining experience. As Service Crew, you will be responsible for providing attentive, professional service whilst maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and efficiency throughout the cafe.

What you'll be doing

• Greeting guests warmly upon arrival and seating them at appropriate tables

• Taking food and beverage orders accurately and promptly using our ordering systems

• Delivering orders to tables in a timely manner whilst ensuring items are served correctly

• Providing knowledgeable recommendations about menu items and special offerings

• Clearing tables efficiently and maintaining a clean, presentable dining environment

• Processing payments and handling cash or card transactions accurately

• Responding to customer requests and resolving any service issues with professionalism and courtesy

• Restocking supplies and assisting with table setup and breakdown

• Adhering to all health, safety and hygiene standards throughout your shift

• Supporting team members and collaborating to ensure smooth cafe operations

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in a hospitality or food service environment, preferably in a cafe or restaurant setting

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse customers

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and presentation standards

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment whilst remaining calm and courteous

• Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and carry items safely

• Reliability and punctuality with a flexible approach to scheduling, including weekends and public holidays

• Customer service orientation with a genuine desire to create positive dining experiences

• Basic numeracy skills for handling payments and orders

• Willingness to learn and adapt to cafe procedures and systems

• A positive attitude and ability to work as part of a collaborative team
