Key Responsibilities
Support the Functional Lead in managing the maintenance of Permanent Way or Civil Structures systems across NEL, SPLRT and DTL.
Plan, schedule and oversee maintenance activities to ensure system safety, reliability and availability.
Lead and supervise maintenance teams, including manpower planning, staff development and administrative matters.
Ensure maintenance works and documentation comply with quality, safety and regulatory requirements.
Identify workplace hazards, implement control measures and investigate safety incidents.
Manage contractors and coordinate maintenance projects where required.
Prepare teams for internal and external audits.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and work processes.
Ensure strict adherence to company safety standards and regulations.
Perform other duties assigned by the Functional Lead or HOD.
Requirements
Degree in Engineering, or Diploma in Engineering with relevant working experience.
Preferably 3 years of post-graduate experience, with exposure to railway maintenance operations.
Knowledge of engineering principles, preferably in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
Able to lead and motivate teams in a dynamic operational environment.
Willing to be on 24-hour standby for emergency response and work during engineering hours (overnight shifts).
