Power Systems Technician (Diesel Engine & Generator) - #1168545

Location: West
Working days: 5 days a week
Working hours: 8am - 5pm

Key Responsibilities

• Use and maintain service tools correctly to complete assigned work.

• Install electrical components such as switches, sensors, transmitters, current transformers (CTs), alternator parts, and control panels.

• Install engine wiring according to technical drawings.

• Assemble and disassemble engine components, including oil pumps, water pumps, and cylinder heads.

• Perform engine valve adjustments.

• Carry out mechanical installation of radiators, couplings, engines, alternators, gearboxes, piping, and hoses.

• Assist with alignment of radiators, engines, and alternators during installation.

• Prepare generators for load testing.

• Perform safety and load tests on generators, and record test results.

• Use ET diagnostic tools to check engine fault codes, events, and data.

• Troubleshoot and repair engine and generator issues.

• Perform general servicing and maintenance of engines and alternators.

• Knowledge of hydraulic starting systems, marine gearboxes, AC alternators, alignment, control panels, and testing is an advantage.

• Basic IT knowledge is an advantage.

• PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) knowledge is an advantage

Requirements

• ITE or equivalent qualification.

• Minimum 5 years of relevant hands-on experience.

• Strong electrical hands-on experience is required.

• Experience with diesel generators, engines, alternators, or power systems is preferred.

• Knowledge of hydraulic starting systems, marine gearboxes, AC power alternators, PLCs, or engine diagnostics will be an advantage.

• Basic IT knowledge is an advantage.

• PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) knowledge is an advantage
