Junior IT Solution Architect (GC/SW) - #1168563

Job Overview:

The Solution Architect is responsible for designing, governing, and delivering end-to-end technology solutions that align with business objectives, enterprise architecture standards, security requirements, and operational needs. The role serves as the bridge between business stakeholders, project teams, infrastructure teams, cybersecurity, and technology vendors to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, resilient, and cost-effective.

The Solution Architect provides technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and solution design through implementation and operational handover.

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Design & Architecture

• Develop end-to-end solution architectures for infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, and integration platforms.

• Translate business requirements into technical solutions designs.

• Review architecture artifacts including Solution blueprints for hybrid, cloud, on-premises, Architecture patterns for compute, storage, network, backup and security and High-level and low-level designs

• Ensure solutions comply with enterprise architecture standards, governance requirements, and internal policies.

• Ensure solutions scalability, availability, performance, and operational resilience.

• Conduct architecture reviews and provide design recommendations.

• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to conduct GISO Security reviews, Risk assessments and AI Governance

Technology Evaluation & Governance

• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend future-state architecture improvements.

• Lead proof-of-concept (POC) and technical assessments.

• Establish architecture standards, best practices, and reusable design patterns.

• Review and approve vendor-proposed technical solutions.

Technology Evaluation & Governance

• Provide architecture direction throughout project implementation.

• Support project managers with technical planning, estimation, risk assessment, and resource planning.

• Resolve complex technical issues and architecture-related challenges.

• Ensure successful transition of solutions into operational support teams.

Stakeholder Management

• Partner with business leaders to understand strategic requirements.

• Communicate architecture decisions to technical and non-technical audiences.

• Facilitate architecture review boards and design workshops.

• Manage relationships with solution vendors, system integrators, and service providers.

Required Experience & Qualifications:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in IT Infrastructure, Cloud, Network, Security, or Enterprise Systems.

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a Solution Architect role.

• Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale technology solutions.

• Experience working with business stakeholders, project teams, and technology vendors.

• Strong understanding of cloud transformation, cybersecurity, and enterprise architecture practices.

• Professional Certifications (Preferred): TOGAF; AWS Solutions Architect Professional; Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert; CCSP
