Workplace Safety Health Officer (WSHO) - #1168412

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop, implement and monitor safety programs and procedures to mitigate risks and promote a culture of safety

• Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify and address potential hazards

• Provide training and support to employees on workplace safety protocols and best practices

• Investigate incidents and near-misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence

• Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and company policies

• Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to integrate safety considerations into daily operations

• Maintain comprehensive records and documentation related to workplace safety and health

• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by Project Manager

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Workplace Safety Health Officer in the Construction industry

• Possess a valid Workplace Safety and Health Officer certification

• Thorough understanding of relevant health, safety and environmental regulations and best practices

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with employees at all levels

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address safety concerns proactively

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and lead safety initiatives

• Proficient in data analysis and report writing
