Operator - Flatwork - #1168313

Brief Summary:

Responsible for performing Chamfering / Beveling processes on Flatwork components according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality standards. This role ensures all parts are processed accurately, safely, and efficiently to meet production output and delivery requirements.

Job Description:

• Perform Chamfering and Beveling operations on Flatwork components according to specified drawings, work instructions, and production standards

• Set up and operate Chamfering / Beveling tools or machines safely and correctly

• Inspect workpieces before and after processing to ensure edges are properly chamfered and meet required dimensional and surface quality

• Ensure all parts are processed accurately to meet production schedule and output targets

• Handle materials carefully to avoid damage during processing

• Identify and report any defects, abnormalities, or non-conforming parts to the Supervisor/ Leader

• Support continuous improvement activities to improve efficiency and reduce defects/rework

• Always maintain good housekeeping and cleanliness at the workstation (5S practice)

• Follow all safety rules, standard operating procedures (SOP), and company regulations during work

• Perform basic machine maintenance such as cleaning and routine checks when required

• Cooperate with team members to ensure smooth workflow in the production line
  

Qualifications Required:

• GCE 'O' Levels, Nitec/Higher Nitec, Diploma or equivalent

Skills & Abilities Required:

• Basic understanding of Chamfering/ Beveling processes is an advantage (training can be provided)

• Good manual dexterity and strong attention to detail

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment

• Ability to work with chemicals and cleaning solutions

• Ability to read and follow work instructions, SOPs, and basic technical drawings

• Willing to work in shift rotation, including 3rd shift (11:00pm – 7:30am) if required
