About the role
As an Electrical Project Engineer, you will lead electrical installation projects from planning through completion. Working closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and site teams, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and supervise electrical installation projects from start to finish
Manage site teams and subcontractors to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with project specifications
Monitor project progress and resolve technical and site-related issues proactively
Prepare project budgets, monitor costs, and support financial forecasting
Prepare and submit monthly progress claims
Identify opportunities for value engineering and cost optimization while maintaining quality and project objectives
Coordinate Testing & Commissioning activities to ensure systems operate as designed
Provide technical guidance on equipment selection, installation methods, and engineering solutions
Conduct client training and oversee system handovers upon project completion
Serve as the primary technical representative during meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, and other project stakeholders
Work with the Safety team to ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements
Maintain project quality standards and ensure all work complies with project specifications and safety procedures
Mentor junior engineers and site personnel by sharing technical knowledge and best practices
Requirements :
A Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related discipline.
At least 2 years of relevant experience managing electrical installation works within Singapore's construction industry.
Experience delivering turnkey and Addition & Alteration (A&A) projects.
Strong technical knowledge of electrical installation works and practical site coordination experience.
Good organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project. Experience with AutoCAD and/or REVIT will be an advantage.
A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic project environment.
Willingness to work primarily on project sites and, where necessary, adjust working hours to support key project milestones.
