The Product Manager is responsible for driving the growth, profitability, and strategic development of the company's specialty chemicals and process solutions portfolio. This role focuses on developing and executing product strategies, supporting new and existing business opportunities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet customer and market requirements.

The Job
- Partner with business leadership to develop and execute strategic plans that drive growth, profitability, and long-term success of the assigned product portfolio.
- Lead cross-functional projects and initiatives to improve business performance, operational efficiency, and product profitability.
- Develop pricing strategies for new and existing products by collaborating with commercial and finance teams, conducting cost analyses, and evaluating profitability.
- Own and manage the New Product Introduction (NPI) process, including coordinating responses to customer RFQs/RFIs and supporting product commercialization.
- Collaborate with global and regional teams to align product strategies with business objectives and customer requirements.
- Manage the commercial and technical aspects of the product portfolio, ensuring products meet customer needs and market expectations.
- Prepare business cases, market analyses, performance reports, and customer-facing presentations to support strategic decision-making.
- Provide product application support to customers by working closely with internal technical teams and global stakeholders.
- Monitor and report key product management KPIs, ensuring targets are achieved and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Support customer change management initiatives and coordinate cross-functional efforts to ensure successful implementation.
- Partner with suppliers to strengthen strategic relationships, enhance supply assurance, and support business continuity initiatives.
- Collaborate with Quality and Supply Chain teams on continuous improvement initiatives, quality programs, and operational excellence projects.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify industry trends, customer needs, emerging technologies, and business opportunities.
- Monitor customer development roadmaps and communicate key market insights to relevant internal stakeholders.
- Develop and implement pricing recommendations based on market intelligence, customer requirements, and profitability objectives.
- Prepare, review, and administer commercial agreements and contracts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Perform additional duties and projects assigned by the Business Director.
The Talent
- Bachelor's degree required; degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related discipline is highly preferred.
- 8 years of product management, sales, or commercial experience within the semiconductor chemicals industry or a related technical field.
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision while effectively managing priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and deliver results.
- Solid understanding of financial and commercial principles, including return on investment (ROI), cost of goods sold (COGS), pricing, margin analysis, and profitability.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience addressing complex chemical, material, physical, and process-related challenges.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and Design of Experiments (DOE), with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into business and customer recommendations.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint and Excel, with the ability to develop high-quality business analyses, reports, and presentations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in both English and Mandarin is preferred to support communication with regional stakeholders and customers.
- Experience with SAP or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is an advantage.
