JOB SUMMARY
The jobholder supports the Senior Manager / Manager (Career Support) and the Career Development team in the planning, coordination, and execution of employment support initiatives, with a focus on jobseekers and women returning to the workforce. The role centres on assisting in the delivery of targeted programmes, supporting partnerships, and helping to organise career fairs and outreach efforts to improve job placement outcomes for the Malay/Muslim community.
The jobholder works closely with employers, agencies, and community partners to help connect jobseekers to meaningful employment opportunities, and provides operational and administrative support across the team’s programmes and activities.
The jobholder is expected to work from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on weekdays and may be required to work over weekends and public holidays to support organisational events. Although the role is largely office-based, occasional travel for meetings, outreach, and programme delivery is expected.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Partnership and Stakeholder Support
• Assist the Senior Manager / Manager (Career Support) in implementing MENDAKI’s Employment and Employability strategies, with a focus on the Women At Work (W@W) pathway.
• Support partnerships with National Agencies, employers, community partners, training providers, and Professional Networks (PNs) to strengthen job placement and progression opportunities for W@W participants.
• Support W@W Women Supporting Women mentoring engagements and quarterly networking activities.
• Support outreach, participant engagement, stakeholder follow-up, and cross-referrals for Career Support programmes.
• Liaise with partners to support mentoring referrals, job readiness follow-ups, flexible work opportunities, and placement outcomes.
• Support outcome follow-up with partners to contribute to the 50% job placement/progression target for W@W participants.
Programme Coordination and Delivery
• Support the day-to-day execution of assigned W@W pathway operations, participant management, and programme administration.
• Coordinate assigned segments of W@W pathway, including employability workshops, mentoring touchpoints, networking sessions, and participant engagement.
• Conduct intake assessment interviews for assigned participants at pre- and post-programme intervention stages, including documentation, data entry, and follow-up actions.
• Coordinate participant outreach, case notes, action plans, mentoring referrals, job readiness follow-ups, and W@W outcome tracking.
• Support delivery logistics for W@W, including scheduling, facilitator/vendor liaison, attendance tracking, learning materials, participant communications, and programme reporting.
• Support Career Support officers on pathway interventions, intake assessment interviews, programme runs, participant follow-up, and event operations where required.
• Monitor assigned participant attendance and engagement to support programme delivery and improvements.
• Support programme reporting, records management, and continuous-improvement tracking for W@W.
Operational and Administrative Support
• Maintain assigned W@W records, attendance, participant feedback, outcome documentation, and follow-up trackers.
• Provide logistical and administrative support for W@W Women Supporting Women, quarterly networking, outreach, and Career Support events.
• Compile assigned programme data and participant follow-up notes for reporting and audit requirements.
• Support documentation, data entry, and filing for W@W participants and partners.
• Work collaboratively with Career Support colleagues to ensure integrated support and smooth event operations.
Requirements
• Relevant degree or diploma from a recognised institution preferred.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in career development, employment facilitation, workforce engagement, or programme and events coordination.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders and participants effectively.
• Meticulous, organised, and detail oriented, with good administrative and coordination skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and comfortable working with data and reports.
• Able to work independently and within a team.
• Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
