Quality Control Assistant (F&B), Singapore

As a Quality Control Assistant, you will support the QC team in daily laboratory operations including sample receipt, sample preparation, retention sample management, sensory test preparation, basic physical, chemical, sensory and other routine analyses. You will also assist with SAP data entry, documentation, customer complaints, internal rejections and other QC-related activities.

In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to validate incoming samples, raw materials, pre-shipment samples and reference samples in accordance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, Good Laboratory Practice and company safety policies.

The Position:

• Receive samples and perform routine activities including sample preparation for sensory evaluation and retrieval of reference samples from retention storage.

• Manage team retention samples and support routine administrative tasks as assigned.

• Assist in basic routine physical, chemical, sensory and other analyses when required.

• Support additional QC activities such as sensory triangle test preparation

• Assist the QC team with tasks related to customer complaints and internal rejections

• Support data entry and documentation processes in SAP, where necessary

• Follow quality control practices and good laboratory practices, ensuring compliance with relevant policies, processes, procedures, controls, performance and quality standards.

• Strictly comply with the Company’s Safety policies and practices.

• Provide support to other QC teams when required and undertake additional tasks as assigned.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Minimum Diploma in Science-related field or equivalent

• At least 1 year of working experience in Flavor & Fragrance industry or relevant laboratory environment.

• Fundamentals in sensory evaluation would be an added advantage

• Knowledge in laboratory safety and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) is mandatory

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to communicate effectively in written and spoken English.

• A strong team player who is also independent, self-driven and able to make sound decisions

• Adaptable and collaborative, with good interpersonal and communication skills

• Positive, determined and resilient with a willingness to learn.

• Good time management skills with the ability to multitask accurately and efficiently.
