About the role
The Logistics Executive will support freight procurement, contract management, market analysis across ocean FCL, LCL, air and land transportation. The role requires close coordination with internal stakeholders and logistics service providers, as well as strong analytical and IT skills to support data analysis, Power BI reporting and process improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities
Participate in annual and ad-hoc freight procurement activities, including ocean FCL, LCL, air freight, land transportation
Support RFQ/tender preparation, rate analysis, nomination updates, contract term reviews and follow-up with carriers, forwarders and logistics service providers
Prepare monthly volume, tonnage, KPI, cost and performance evaluation reports for management and business stakeholders
Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, Excel analysis models and other reporting tools to support data-driven freight procurement decisions
Conduct shipping market analysis, including SCFI and bunker trend monitoring, freight rate movements, surcharge developments and market research
Communicate effectively with internal departments and external parties to clarify requirements, resolve issues and ensure smooth implementation of agreed freight arrangements
Support improvement and digitalization initiatives to enhance reporting efficiency, data accuracy, procurement visibility and internal workflow standardization
Job Requirements:
Experience and knowledge of international shipping, freight forwarding and logistics activities are essential
Strong IT and data analytics skills, including advanced MS Excel
Experience with Power BI, Power Query, dashboard creation, data modelling or data visualization will be a strong advantage
Ability to crunch, validate, consolidate and interpret large sets of freight, volume, cost, KPI and market data accurately
Proficiency in MS PowerPoint and Word for preparation of management reports, presentation materials and documentation
Good communication skills with the ability to work with internal stakeholders, carriers, forwarders and logistics service providers
Mature, self-motivated and detail-oriented, with strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to learn
Able to work independently, manage deadlines and put in extra effort when required to complete assigned tasks
