About the Opportunity

Our client is a global leader in advanced semiconductor manufacturing technology and is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join its growing engineering team. Key Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and relocate advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment at customer sites, ensuring successful start-up and operational readiness.

• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting to maximise equipment uptime and production efficiency.

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and system-related issues, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions.

• Escalate complex technical issues to internal engineering teams where necessary and support timely resolution.

• Implement hardware and software upgrades, engineering changes, and system modifications to improve equipment performance and reliability.

• Support equipment qualification, process verification, and acceptance activities following installation or major maintenance.

• Maintain accurate service documentation, maintenance records, and technical reports.

• Build strong relationships with customers by delivering professional technical support and identifying opportunities to enhance service quality.

• Ensure company tools, test equipment, spare parts, and assigned assets are properly maintained and accounted for.

• Participate in standby support, shift rotations, and occasional overseas assignments as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, or a related engineering discipline.

• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Candidates with field service, maintenance, manufacturing, or semiconductor experience are also welcome.

• Strong interest in troubleshooting complex electro-mechanical systems and learning advanced semiconductor equipment technologies.

• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Comfortable working independently while collaborating effectively with customers and cross-functional engineering teams.

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally to support customer projects.

• Comfortable working rotating shifts, including standby support where required.

• Able to work in a semiconductor cleanroom environment while wearing appropriate cleanroom attire and personal protective equipment.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
