About the Opportunity
Our client is a global leader in advanced semiconductor manufacturing technology and is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join its growing engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for engineers who enjoy hands-on technical work, customer interaction, and supporting cutting-edge equipment used in semiconductor fabrication facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Install, commission, and relocate advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment at customer sites, ensuring successful start-up and operational readiness.
Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting to maximise equipment uptime and production efficiency.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and system-related issues, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions.
Escalate complex technical issues to internal engineering teams where necessary and support timely resolution.
Implement hardware and software upgrades, engineering changes, and system modifications to improve equipment performance and reliability.
Support equipment qualification, process verification, and acceptance activities following installation or major maintenance.
Maintain accurate service documentation, maintenance records, and technical reports.
Build strong relationships with customers by delivering professional technical support and identifying opportunities to enhance service quality.
Ensure company tools, test equipment, spare parts, and assigned assets are properly maintained and accounted for.
Participate in standby support, shift rotations, and occasional overseas assignments as required.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, or a related engineering discipline.
Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Candidates with field service, maintenance, manufacturing, or semiconductor experience are also welcome.
Strong interest in troubleshooting complex electro-mechanical systems and learning advanced semiconductor equipment technologies.
Ability to interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Comfortable working independently while collaborating effectively with customers and cross-functional engineering teams.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally to support customer projects.
Comfortable working rotating shifts, including standby support where required.
Able to work in a semiconductor cleanroom environment while wearing appropriate cleanroom attire and personal protective equipment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
