The Role
Partner with internal stakeholders to understand business objectives, operational requirements, and procurement needs, providing strategic procurement advice throughout the procurement lifecycle.
Develop and recommend sourcing strategies, commercial approaches, and contracting solutions to support business and project outcomes.
Review, develop, and enhance procurement policies, frameworks, templates, and guidelines to strengthen governance and procurement effectiveness.
Manage and advise on end-to-end procurement activities, including requirement definition, tender processes, evaluation, contract award, and contract administration.
Provide guidance on evaluation methodologies, commercial models, contract structures, and risk management considerations.
Support the enhancement of procurement systems, platforms, and digital solutions by identifying opportunities for process improvement, automation, and innovation.
Conduct market research and supplier engagement activities to identify market trends, industry best practices, and emerging procurement opportunities.
Support supplier relationship management and governance activities to ensure effective vendor performance and compliance with procurement requirements.
Facilitate procurement capability building by promoting knowledge sharing, best practices, and continuous learning across stakeholders.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process inefficiencies, operational risks, and opportunities to enhance procurement outcomes.
What Are We Looking For?
Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Finance, Law, Public Policy, or a related discipline.
Relevant experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, contract management, vendor management, or commercial advisory functions.
Strong understanding of procurement principles, governance frameworks, and contract management practices.
Ability to build strong working relationships and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across different functions.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to evaluate risks and recommend solutions.
Experience managing end-to-end procurement processes and supporting tender evaluation activities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present recommendations clearly and confidently.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with procurement or enterprise systems.
Experience in public sector procurement, ICT procurement, or large-scale sourcing initiatives will be an advantage.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and adaptable, with a continuous improvement mindset.
