Junior Test Engineer (Manual & Automation Testing) - #1167352

About the role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Test Engineer to join a leading financial institution. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with 6 months to 3 years of software testing experience who are looking to build their career in software quality assurance. You will be involved in both manual and automation testing, working closely with business users, developers, and cross-functional teams to ensure the quality and reliability of enterprise banking applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, prepare, and execute manual test cases based on business and system requirements.

• Prepare test data and perform test execution, re-testing, and regression testing.

• Support automation testing using industry-standard testing tools and frameworks.

• Leverage AI-powered tools for test case creation and enhancement.

• Identify, log, track, and verify software defects using defect management tools.

• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and performance testing.

• Ensure testing activities are completed within project timelines.

• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to resolve defects.

• Prepare test reports and communicate testing progress to project teams.

• Contribute ideas to improve testing processes, quality standards, and best practices.

About you

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

• 0.5 to 3 years of experience in software testing (manual and/or automation testing).

• Familiarity with testing tools such as JIRA, Selenium, Appium, or similar testing frameworks.

• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Exposure to API, system integration, and regression testing is a plus.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Immediate starters or candidates with short notice periods are preferred.
