About the role

We are seeking a Project Engineer to join Dong Jian (Singapore) Pte Ltd in the Springleaf North Region. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in overseeing and delivering engineering projects from conception through to completion. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for coordinating technical aspects of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position is integral to our operations and directly contributes to our company's success in delivering exceptional engineering solutions to our clients.

Key responsibilities

  1. Plan, schedule, and coordinate engineering projects to ensure timely and efficient delivery

  2. Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including technical specifications and project plans

  3. Monitor project progress and track key performance indicators against established milestones

  4. Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders to communicate project status and resolve issues

  5. Conduct site inspections and technical assessments to ensure compliance with project requirements and safety standards

  6. Prepare detailed project reports, cost analyses, and recommendations for process improvements

  7. Manage project budgets and resources effectively to optimise costs without compromising quality

  8. Identify and mitigate project risks through proactive planning and contingency measures

  9. Support the team in troubleshooting technical challenges and implementing solutions

  10. Ensure all work complies with relevant regulations, standards, and company policies


What we're looking for

  1. Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline

  2. 2–5 years of experience in project engineering or a similar technical role

  3. Strong knowledge of engineering principles, project management methodologies, and industry best practices

  4. Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office applications

  5. Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously

  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders

  7. Problem-solving ability and attention to detail in technical and administrative matters

  8. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications

  9. Knowledge of relevant safety standards and regulatory requirements in engineering projects

  10. Preferred: Experience with CAD software or building information modelling (BIM) tools

  11. Preferred: Certification in project management (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent)
