The role

As a Marine Service Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining marine engines, auxiliary machinery and onboard equipment. You will carry out preventive maintenance, diagnose mechanical faults, prepare service reports and ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company and industry standards. This role is ideal for hands-on engineers who enjoy working onboard vessels and delivering quality technical support to customers.

$3,800 - $5,000 + VB

Monday – Friday: 9 AM – 6 PM

Work location: Central-East Singapore, Taiseng

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot faults on marine engines, auxiliary engines and onboard equipment.

• Perform repairs and maintenance on inboard and outboard engines, fuel systems, cooling systems and exhaust systems.

• Carry out preventive maintenance to ensure vessel machinery remains in good working condition.

• Service and maintain marine equipment, including cargo pumps and related mechanical systems.

• Prepare service reports and maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.

• Ensure the engine room and onboard work areas are kept clean and organised during servicing.

• Comply with all workplace safety and environmental regulations while carrying out maintenance work.

• Work closely with the service team to deliver efficient and high-quality customer support.

Requirements

• Diploma, NITEC, Higher NITEC or equivalent qualification in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

• At least 2 years of experience in marine service, repair or maintenance.

• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical problem-solving skills.

• Hands-on experience with marine engines, auxiliary engines and cargo pumps.

• Familiarity with marine diagnostic tools, technical manuals and engineering schematics.

• Good communication and teamwork skills with a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
