Key responsibilities

1. Supervise and manage daily production operations, including scheduling, staffing and task allocation across manufacturing teams

2. Monitor production progress against targets and implement corrective actions to ensure timely delivery of outputs

3. Maintain and enforce strict quality control standards, conducting regular inspections and addressing any defects or non-conformances

4. Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations, conducting regular safety briefings and incident investigations

5. Train, mentor and develop team members, providing performance feedback and identifying opportunities for skill development

6. Manage equipment maintenance schedules and coordinate with maintenance teams to minimise downtime

7. Analyse production data and identify opportunities for process improvements and cost optimisation

8. Communicate effectively with management, coordinating with other departments to support overall business objectives

9. Prepare and maintain accurate production reports and documentation

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 5 years of supervisory or team leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment

2. Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control procedures and health and safety regulations

3. Proven track record of managing teams effectively, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

4. Ability to interpret production data, identify trends and implement data-driven improvements

5. Experience with production planning, scheduling and resource management

6. Problem-solving capabilities with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure

7. Proficiency in using production management systems and basic computer applications

8. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy

9. Relevant qualifications or certifications in production management, quality assurance or occupational health and safety are advantageous
